what is this NHANES Dataset
Hi Moderator, what is this NHANES Dataset . Is it a questionaire. There is no data to be called either via Json or Web serivces. Are we to lift the data content manually on our own.
Again I could not find any that deals with diabetic patients via this link

For instance, which of the dataset deals with diabetic Patients eg NHANES 2013-2014.
please we need clarification on the data usage on this app contest.

Thanks for your question! The data available varies by year. For instance, if you go into the 2011-2012 Section on the left sidebar you'll see that there are six types of data available (Demographics, Dietary, Examination, Laboratory, Questionnaire, and Limited Access Data). Clicking into any of these data types will lead you to a page where you can download the data in a document or data file type.

The 2011-2012 data is more complete. CDC has added more datasets in 2015 to the Questionnaire collection. The diabetes data codebook can be found here for the 2011-2012 data: http://wwwn.cdc.gov/nchs/nhanes/2011-2012/DIQ_G.htm
Please note that the data sets are in a SAS Transport data format. If you don't use SAS, you will need to convert the data. NHANES recommends the SAS Viewer which can convert the data to a CSV format.

Guess what? You need a windows machine or operating system to get the "universal sas viewer" via: http://support.sas.com/downloads/package.htm?pid=1249 then you would need to translate the data to csv or json using this: http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/proc/67327/HTML/default/viewer.htm#n1aq4o1nbg1b72n1rfleh8gxz1zk.htm
